The Large Synoptic Survey Telescope (LSST) is probably the most important optical wide-field sky survey currently in preparation. The telescope will be located in Chile and should see the first light in 2014. In a campaign of 15 second exposures, LSST will cover the available sky every three nights. The LSST parameters (etendue) surpass by one hundred times the parameters of existing ground-based sky surveys. The goal of this grant proposal is to assemble and to use a fully automated optical setup for precise characterization of CCD sensors for mosaic LSST camera. The scientists from Brookhaven National Laboratory provided the hardware part of the testing system. They have designed and built an optical bench for CCD characterization. The contribution of the Czech partners is then the development of the special software system that coordinates the operation of all individual components of the testing apparatus. Both sides will then co-operate during data taking shifts and during data analysis. V rámci projektu bude v Brookhavenské národní laboratoři v USA zprovozněna a plně automatizována testovací soustava sloužící k úplné charakterizaci CCD čipů pro Large Synoptic Survey Telescope, čeští vědcí jsou pak plně zodpovědní za vývoj softwaru.
