Making accessible the cataloque is an important milestone in opening the cataloque and through it also the collections of the Moravian Library in Brno not only for the local users of the library but also for the distant users via Internet. Taking into consideration the expert requirements of the research public and filling the possibility of searching of various points of view, it is necessary to do the general retrocpective conversion, i. e. the convercion into the structured form in format UNIMARC. Each record will be supplied with authorities systematicly and with references and picture of the title page selectively and possibly with other important elements of book (binding, provenience notes of important owners) made with a digital camera. The collection of old prints from the years 1501-1800 in the Moravian Library Brno has nearly 40000 volumes. The cataloque is a mark of democratisation, openess and accessibility in the modern world of information. Zpřístupnění katalogu starých tisků je významným mezníkem v otevírání katalogu a jeho prostřednictvím i fondu Moravské zemské knihovny v Brně nejen místním uživatelům knihovny, ale i zájemcům vzdáleným prostřednictvím internetu. Vzhledem k odborným požadavkům badatelské veřejnosti a naplnění možnosti vícehlediskového prohledávání je třeba provést celkovou retrospektivní konversi, tj. převod do strukturované podoby ve formátu Unimarc. Jednotlivé záznamy budou doplněny soustavně autoritami a selektivně referencemi a obrázkem titulní strany případně jiných důležitých markantů knihy (vazby, provenienčních zápisů významných majitelů), pořízených digitálním fotoaparátem. Fond starých tisků z let 1501-1800 MZK v Brně čítá téměř 40000 svazků. Katalog je projevem demokratizace, otevřenosti a přístupnosti v moderním světě informací.
