Projekt se zaměří na studium charakteru a struktury exekutivy v období po vzniku České republiky (1993-2003). Podstatou analýzy je problematika koaličních vazeb mezi relevantními politickými stranami, a to jednak na úrovni celostátní (tj. v kontextu vztahu legislativy a exekutivy - problematika exekutivních koalic a legislativních koalic), jednak na úrovni komunální. Cílem je zhodnotit příčiny a důsledky formování odlišných typů vlád (menšinové vlády, většinové koalice) a zařadit je do obecnějšího komparativního kontextu typologizace koaličních vlád v parlamentních demokraciích. Nedílnou součástí analýzy je i charakteristika vazeb mezi politickými stranami na nižší, tj. lokální úrovni (obce, města) a analýza příčin, které vedou k vytváření strukturně odlišných typů výkonných orgánů na této úrovni. Práce využívá vedle empirických dat týkajících se české politické scény rovněž rozsáhlou teoretickou literaturu vztahující se k obecné problematice studia koalic (především různé klasifikační "Proposed project is focused on the analysis of the character and structure of those Czech executives which were constructed after 1992 (e.g. during the period 1992-2003). The main goal is to study coalition relations among relevant political parties on two levels - central and local ones. Our aim is an evaluation of reasons for formation of different types of executive governments (coalitions as well as minority cabinets) and verification of the hypotheses on the types of coalition governments in contemporary parliamentary democracies. Attention will be also paid to the relations among political parties at the local levels of the Czech politics and to the role of the internal structure of the political parties in the regions' politics. Research method will focus on an empirical collection of data about the local political parties' coalitions and central level of the coalition relations among the relevant political ""players"".
