The basis of the project is to obtain new findings in solidification thermokinetics of the concasting of rectangular-profile steel blanks and also in the method of mathematical statistics, prediction, numerical optimization and control of the process technology and quality of the final product. An original dynamic model will analyse the temperature field of a concasting in real time. Part of it will be a program for scanning all operational parameters on the caster.  The calculation of the temperature field of the slabs will be confronted with the measured parameters on its interface. The stochastic optimization model take over values from the dynamic model, from the information system of the steel works and rolling mill, including data on the quality of the final products. On-line statistics will be running over this data. After determining  the limit values of the deciding parameters (on the basis of a long-term file of data from the dynamic model) a control system will be  elaborated and the running of the caster will be corrected according to the known current status of the caster and recommended limit values. Based on the data from the dynamic model, there will be an on-line comprehensive quality prediction system developed, into which only real defects, including the causes of their occurrence will be integrated. Graphics simulation of the prediction rules will be used to recommend immediate concasting parameters. Získání nových poznatků o přenosových jevech v soustavě plynule litých předlitků vedoucí k modelování jejich teplotního pole v reálném čase. Vývoj matematicko-stochastického modelu procesu od lití až po finální produkt umožňující predikci, optimalizaci a řízení procesu a kvality.
