Description
| - The research project is focused on complex analysis and understanding of plant pathosystems (or representative models of plant pathosystem) with respect to its structure, hierarchy, variability of its components, interactions, and influence of environmenton expression of host-pathogen interactions. There will be emphasize to understand biodiversity and genetic variability of pathogens and host plants, including their temporal and spatialchanges. One of the goals of the project is also identification andcharacterization of new forms of pathogens, and creation of their collection for further investigation, along with detection of resistance sourcesin the germplasm of cultivated plants and their corresponding wild types. Studium rezistence v genových zdrojích vybraných kulturních rostlin a jejich planě rostoucích progenitorů, detekce mechanismů a genetické podstajejího využití v rostlinných biotechnologiích a šlechtění rostlin.3. Studium projevů a mechanismůinterakcí rostlina-patogen-prostředí (abiotické stresové faktory) na histologické a cytologické úrovni. 4. Výzkum fyziologických, biochemických a biofyzikáln

| - The team studied plant pathosystem at all levels of biotic organization from population dynamics to genomics. Involvement of biologists, biochemists and biophysicists made to adopt an interdisciplinary approach. Results were both in international journals and books and patents. Obtained knowledge has been used in teaching and applied in plant breeding and biotechnology. (en)
Zapojení odborníků z biologie, biochemie i biofyziky umožnilo interdisciplinární přístup. Výsledky byly publikovány v mezinárodních časopisech i knihách a tým získal několik patentů. Získané poznatky byly postupně přenášeny do výuky i do šlechtitelské a biotechnologické praxe. (cs)
