| - The territory of Moravia was an important crossroads between the East and the West as well as between the North and the South from the prehistoric times. The oldest human families developed there. The first farmers, blacksmiths, the Celts, the Germans after them, and finally the Slavs, who first created the state and nation in the Central-European territory, came onto the area. Moravia, as a component of Czech lands, was always a significant historical and cultural centre, where important historic events took place, and extraordinary persons, scientists, and cultural phenomena were born. Those very often exceeded borders of the Central-European territory, as e.g. Gregor Mendel, or Leos Janacek. Individual regions of Moravia present a great source of folk culture and customs. Moravian museum is the curator of a basic part of the sources, which is important for solving all the previous mentioned facts. (en)
- Od pravěku lidstva bylo území Moravy významnou křižovatkou nacházející se mezi Východem a Západem, i Severem a Jihem. Vyvíjely se zde nejstarší lidské rody, přišli sem první zemědělci, kovolitci, Kelti, po nich Germáni a nakonec Slované, kteří stáli u zrodu první ideje státu a národa ve středoevropském prostoru. Morava jako součást českých zemí byla vždy významným historickým a kulturním centrem, kde se udály významné historické děje a zrodili mimořádné osobnosti a vědecko-kulturní fenomény, které nezřídka přesáhli hranice středoevropského prostoru, jako tomu bylo např. u Gregora Mendela nebo Leoše Janáčka. Jednotlivé regiony Moravy zároveň představují velkou studnici poznání lidové kultury a zvyků. Moravské zemské muzeum je správcem podstatné části pramenné základny, důležité pro řešení všech výše uvedených skutečností.

| - Both interim and final tasks were fulfilled and preliminary syntheses were interpreted within wider methodical and thematic contexts in the form of high-quality outputs (monographs, scientific studies etc.).
