U obou typů archivních fondů si všímá jejich definice, metodických a teoretických aspektů, představuje nejdůležitější instituce, které se práci s těmito fondy věnují a pokouší se o přehled jejich vývoje. Přílohou studie je přehled rodinných archivů v archivech České republiky This article is an attempt to summarize the issues of personal and family archives in the Czech Republic. For both types of archival records is noted their definition, methodical and theoretical aspects, outlines of their develompent and also were presented the most important institutions with tradition of work with these archival records types.
