  • The article is focused on dangerous substances and their particles. It introduces an overview of selected dangerous substances and particle size with the risk of penetration into the human body. The substances that frequently occur during extraordinary or crisis situations having a negative impact on the human organism are described. Further, the contribution points out the use of modern materials, such as nanofibers, and their composition, which can be used in the design of a ventilation unit for an improvised shelter. In addition, the contribution mentions the possibility of cooperation with the Technical University in Liberec and the use of laboratory equipment for testing the fabrics, with the subsequent use of the data obtained.
