Description
  • The article deals with control of chemical exothermic semi batch reactor. A mathematical model of a real process is used in order to study the control possibilities. Control of nonlinear systems is generally difficult; the same is true for chemical reactors, which belong to this category. To find the necessary information about the controlled system the online identification is used. Based on the identification the tuning of the controller is done. Studied are at first the recursive least square identification method and then the same method enhanced by exponential forgetting. Ziegler-Nichols controller with filtration of D component is than applied to control the temperature of the exothermic semi-batch process. Results are also compared to previous authors work.
