  • This paper deals with the reliability of ultrasonic detectors utilized for obstacles detection around small autonomously operating airship. For this purpose several measurements were made by means of SRF02 detectors using different obstacles inclined in different angles to the axis of the detector's ultrasonic beam. The experience gained from the hereby mentioned measurements is critical for the project of Autonomous Airship that is being solved at Tomas Bata University in Zlin, dealing with the operation of a small airship autonomously flying inside an enclosed hall.
