Description	Despite the variety of the innovative approaches, there is a lack of non-technological perspective. The overall image is based on activities related to technologies wish sustainable development. This study reveals the perspective of introduction and implementation of non-technological innovation in the fields of cultural and creative industries. An analysis of individual strategic documents of the Czech Republic and the EU was performed with the aim to point out various rates of processing this specific approach of innovation into the practice. Analysed countries such as the United Kingdom, Finland, Estonia, Germany and Austria became aware of this aspect and reacted with national and regional strategies, with the aim to promote non-technological innovation. On contrary, the Czech Republic lacks further programmes and specific activities to promote the variety of non-tech innovation. The importance of this approach is even more relevant with the upcoming European programmes such as Creative Europe 2014 for supporting Europe’s cultural and creative sectors.
