| - In the current economic climate, according to economists, one of the best economic policies is based on fostering competitiveness and innovation of regions through activities concentrated on structure of clusters. The globalized world today forces regional policy makers to develop new activities such as clusters. Cluster building process started during the 1990s in many European Union countries. The main reason was to strengthen the industry?s ability to innovate and increase national competitiveness. Global market is no longer determined by single companies but increasingly by entire industries and branches. Cluster initiatives are the way to foster not only innovation but also co-operation and internationalisation among companies and regions to succeed in global competition. - V současném ekonomickém klimatu je podle ekonomů jedna z nejlepších hospodářských politik založena na podpoře konkurenceschopnosti a inovací v regionech prostřednictvím aktivit zaměřených na strukturu klastrů. Nynější globalizovaný svět nutí regionální politické činitele k rozvoji nových aktivit, jako jsou klastry. Stavební proces klastru začal v průběhu 90. let v mnoha zemích Evropské unie. Hlavním důvodem bylo posílení schopnosti průmyslu inovovat a zvyšovat národní konkurenceschopnost. Globální trh již není udáván jednotnými firmami, ale stále více celými odvětvími a obory. Klastrové iniciativy jsou způsobem jak podpořit nejen inovace, ale také spolupráci a internacionalizaci mezi firmami a regiony pro dosažení úspěchu v rámci světové konkurence. Tento článek popisuje koncepci rozvoje klastrů v Polsku a jejich vládní politiku.
