Description	This article is showing the importance of the investment funds related to the economic reforms,concering the privatization process. Based on the experience with the privatization process in the Czech Republic, it is describing the function and possible risks levels in relation to the specific business environment. The article is also discussing the international influence, related to the above. (en) V počátcích ekonomické reformy byl dominantní podíl investičních fondů na procesu privatizace v ČR. Během 1. vlny privatizace v období 17.2. 1992 - 31.1.1993 investovaly IF 6140 mil. Investičních bodů, což bylo 71,9 % celkového jejich objemu. IF představovaly relevantní alternativu investování , což pro veřejnost představovalo eliminaci rizika. Ovšem působení IF v procesu privatizace nebylo vždy správně využito. Proto se článek zabývá jednotlivými aspekty podílu fondů na realizaci první vlny privatizace.
