Description	The objective of using new Information and Communication Technologies in education is improving of its efficciency. Simply using the information technologies as new media in which traditional teaching is perpetuated has led to failure. Despite many excellent success stories due to these technologies, the general picture of schooling has not changed and learning is no better off than before. Developing Internet discover more alternativies for distance study forms. On-line courses are the next step for university teaching. Authors presents some advantages of using Internet in the educational process and the utilization in the university computer network. (en) Cílem používání nových informačních a komunikačních technologií ve vzdělávání, s využitím Internetu při výuce a školení, je především zvyšování efektivnosti výuky. Příspěvek podává stručnou charakteristiku uplatňování výše uvedených technologií prostřednictvím některých nových forem do oblasti univerzitního a celoživotního vzdělávání (e-learning).
