Description
  • The behaviour of biopolymer solutions at the phase boundary liquid/gas/solid on variously structured surfaces was studied. For this purposes, model substrates were prepared from Si wafers with a non-isotropic etching method. Surface topography was characterised with the atomic force microscopy. The behaviour of biopolymer solutions at the phase boundaries was studied with goniometric methods (sessile drop measurement). Obtained results demonstrate the effect of surface topography on the behaviour of polymer in solution and at the phase boundary liquid/gas/solid.
