  • Biodegradable and edible films were prepared by casting from 25 % (w/w) solution of collagen hydrolysate with added glycerin (20 %, w/w hydrolysate) and with varied additions of dialdehyde starch ? 0, 1 and 5 % (w/w hydrolysate). After thermal annealing at 65 and 95 °C (6 and 48 hours) thermal properties by differential scanning calorimetry and thermogravimetric analysis were studied. Experiments, aimed at ascertaining the influence of chemical (addition of a cross-linker) and physical (thermal annealing) modifications on thermal properties of films, confirmed that by addition of dialdehyde starch and further thermal exposition of films thermal properties of thus prepared films changes.
