Description
  • The study directs towards the estimation of grain size in materials with anisotropic biodalstructured morphology. Model material was prepared by compression moulding from platics pellets with known bimodal size distribution. The estimation was based on the routine approach using planar and linear sections. Results from both the suggested novel method and the traditional method proposed by Standard ASTM E 112 were compared with the known values of grain size.

  • Tato práce se zabývá odhadem zrna v materiálech s anisotropní bimodální strukturou. Jako modelový materiál byl připraven vzorek z plastických granulí se známou distribucí jejich objemu bimodální struktury. Odhad velikosti byl založen na obvyklém postupu měření délky tětivy a plochy profilu zrna na stěně vzorku. Tyto hodnoty byly užity v souladu normy ASTM E 112 a počítačové simulace a výsledky obou metod byly vzájemně porovnány. Metoda počítačové simulace byla shledána jako přesná metoda odhadu velikosti zrna obzvláště v této složité morfologii zrnité struktury. (cs)
