  • Cílem práce bylo stadium vlivu délky alkylového řetězce na interkalační proces a na vlastnosti polymer/jíl nanokompozitů. Doposud bylo studováno velké množství polymer/jíl nanokompozitních systémů. Menší pozornost byla zatím věnována PVC/jíl nanokompozitům, ačkoliv polyvinylchlorid (PVC) je jedním z nejlépe prostudovaných a nejčastěji používaných polymerů. Přírodní typ jílu, Cloisite Na+ od firmy Southern Clay Products byl interkalován oktadecylaminem (ODA), dodecylaminem (DDA) a oktylaminem (OA). Interkalace byla založena na ion-dipólové metodě. Studium struktury vychází z rentgenografických záznamů a molekulárních simulací. Velmi významnou je hodnota exfoliační energie, jejíž nízká hodnota vede k lepší exfoliaci silikátových vrstev. Takové interkaláty jsou pak vhodnými prekursory pro vznik nanokompozitních systémů. Hodnoty exfoliační energie zkoumaných vzorků ukazují, že interkaláty na bázi montmorillonit/DDA jsou aplikovatelné pro nanokompozitní systémy a to díky jejich nízké hodnotě exfoliační ene (cs)
  • The aim of this paper is the study of influence of the length of chain to the intercalation processes and to the properties of polymer/clay nanocomposites. A lot of polymer/clay nanocomposites have been studied so far. Les attention has been given to PVC/clay nanocomposites, although polyvinylchloride (PVC) is the best known and the most widely used vinyl plastic. Natural type of montmorillonite, Cloisite Na+ from Southern Clay Products, was intercalated with octadecylamine (ODA), dodecylamine (DDA) and octylamine (OA) molecules to determine applicability of these intercalates for nanocomposite materials. Intercalation based on ion-dipole interaction was investigated. The structure was determined on the base of X-ray diffraction and molecular simulations. The most important is the value of exfoliation energy. Low values of exfoliation energies lead to better exfoliation of silicate layers.
