  • In this paper is discussed the barrier properties of plasticized poly(vinyl chloride)/clay nanocomposites. Modified type of Clay MMT30B and natural type of clay MMTNa+ from Southern Clay Products were used as the inorganic phase. In our study we used ion-dipole method for intercalation process. As the intercalation agents were used PVC plasticizers. Compounding the modified clay with PVC in KO-kneader generates nano-filler particles. The principal aim is to fully disperse (exfoliate) the clay into polymer matrix. The structure was determined on the base of X-ray di_raction, elektron microscopy (SEM, TEM). Prepared samples were tested for Water Vzpour transmission (WVT), O2 and CO2 permeability. Next the samples were tested for migration behaviour of plasticizers.

  • V této práci byly studovány bariérové vlastnosti polvinylchlorid/jíl nanokompozitů. Jako zdroj anorganické fáze byly použity 2 typy jílů a to jíl MMT30B a přírodní typ jílu MMTNa+ od firmy Southern Clay Products, USA. Interkalační proces byl uskutečněn pomocí metody ion-dipólové interkalace. Roli interkalačních činidlem sehrála změkčovadla. Nanočástice byly generovány mícháním upraveného jílu v KO-hnětiči. Cílem bylo exfoliovat jíly v polymerní matrici. Ke studiu struktury byl použit difrakční záznam, elektronová mikroskopie (SEM, TEM). U připravených vzorků byla sledována transmise vodních par (WVT), O2 a CO2 permeabilita. Dále byly vzorky testovány z hlediska migrace změkčovadel. (cs)
