  • Polypropylene is a versatile thermoplastic material available in a wide range of formulations from general purpose homopolymer, random copolymer and impact copolymer grades to highly specialized resins for engineering applications. Processing conditions and thermomechanical conditions imposed during injection molding significantly affect the structural development of polypropylene and its subsequent physical and mechanical properties. Therefore the aim of this work is to analyse an influence of mold temperature in conjuction with presence of b-nucleating agent on structure and tensile properties of nucleated polypropylene. For purposes of this work injection molding machine Demag, tensile tester Zwick 1465 and X-ray diffractometry were used.
