Description
  • The paper deals with an indoor environment quality evaluation of old naturally ventilated office building in Prague, Czech Republic. Background research describes indoor climate components and their influence on occupants, describes indoor climate evaluation methods and summarizes required indoor climate parameter value limits. Field work was focused on a measurement of indoor environment parameters in one office buildings. Measured values were evaluated and PMV and PPD indices were calculated. Indices values were used for evaluating indoor environment according to the standard ČSN EN ISO 7730. Next part of research included an indoor environment quality questionnaire taken from occupant subjective perspective. The office evaluation was done according to a thermal comfort of the body as whole and local thermal discomfort. Local thermal comfort parameters were calculated from values which were found in Design Builder software model. There is a comparison of results gained through measurement and results gained in Design Builder simulation. At the end measures to be taken are specified to provide better indoor environment of the investigated rooms. Paper is student work based on diploma theses defeated in the school year 2011/12.
