Description	Ludvík Očenášek was a skilful, inventive and practically oriented technician who aspired to put his ideas into practice. In particular, he pursued electrical engineering (arch lamps patents, lightning arresters, telephones, telephone wiretapping devices, sound installations in large areas, e.g. stadiums, radio receiver crystal improvement), stream machine technology (construction of the aircraft rotary engine and turbo-rocket, construction of a low-submersion boat with reaction propulsion and hydrodynamic boat or construction of automats) and fine mechanics (construction of pharmaceutical scales and devices), but he was also interested in constructing means of transport (he built a 1.8m wheel, put the rider’s seat in its centre, including handlebars and pedals the movement of which was transferred to a small-diameter wheel that propelled the monocycle).
