Description
  • This paper aims at establishing methods for assessment of existing reinforced concrete bridges subjected to military traffic by investigating the military loads and at the same time at developing methods for calibrating partial factor that can be utilized during the assessment. A number of factors regarding the military variable loading must be taken in account - dynamic amplification factor, military load stochastic parameters and model uncertainties. It is shown, that the calculated partial factors are largely dependent on these parameters. Therefore special care is devoted to the proper selection of respective variables and special regard is dedicated to different bridge crossing conditions, which have a significant influence the resulting partial factor.
