Description	This paper presents the results achieved in first 5 months of a three-year research project. The project objectives are to develop methodology that helps to identify the relationship between semantics of the city space and its spatial characteristics. Understanding the semantics of townscapes and the impact of townscape on people’s behavior may increase our comprehension of how different city structures influence people’s cognitive space. The results can be used in similar localities to support the development of a stronger relationship of people to the place and community This paper presents the results achieved in first 5 months of a three-year research project.
