  • Fluktuace intenzity laserového pulsu představují problém při kompresi a zapálení terče v direct-drive konceptu inerciální fúze. Techniky časového vyhlazování intensity laserového pulsu fungují až po několika stovkách picosekund, a proto je důležité navrhování takových terčů, aby byl omezen vliv počátečních fluktuací laserové intenzity na ablační tlak. Tento článek představuje výsledky prvních experimentů zabývajích se omezením vlivu fluktuací laserové intensity ve fúzním plazmatu za pomocí terčů z řídké pěny. (cs)

Temporal smoothing techniques become operational after several hundred picoseconds and inhibition of the effect of initial laser intensity perturbations on the ablation pressure is a crucial problem for target design. This paper presents the first experimental results on the laser imprint reduction in fusion scale plasmas using low-density foam targets.
