  • Photoluminescence emission and excitation spectra of thin nanocrystalline diamond films were studied within a wide temperature (12 – 300 K) and spectral (220 – 900 nm) region. Nanodiamond films with thickness within 250-1650 nm were grown by microwave plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition in hydrogen-methane plasma on silicon (100) substrates. Then windows 6x6 mm were opened in substrates by directional etching, leaving perfectly transparent, self-supporting nanodiamond membranes. Typical nanograin sizes have been observed in the range 20-100 nm. Photoluminescence emission spectra of nanodiamond consist of two main broad emission bands peaking near 2.2 and 1.8 eV at 12 K. Spectra depend on preparation conditions of nanodiamond films but they do not change markedly with temperature. The luminescence mechanism vas suggested.

  • Emisní a excitační spektra fotoluminiscence tenkých vrstev nanokrystalického diamantu byla studována v širokém teplotním (12 – 300 K) a spektrálním (220 – 900 nm) oboru. Nanodiamantové vrstvy s tloušťkou mezi 250-1650 nm byly vypěstovány mikrovlnou plazmou zesíleným chemickým vylučováním z plynné fáze ve vodíkově-metanové plazmě na křemíkových (100) podložkách. V podložkách byla potom vytvořena směrovým leptáním křemíku okénka 6x6 mm s dokonale průhlednými samonosnými nanodiamantovými membránami. Typické velikosti nanozrn byly pozorovány v rozsahu 20-100 nm. Emisní spektra fotoluminiscence nanodiamantu tvoří dva hlavní emisní pásy s maximem v blízkosti 2.2 and 1.8 eV při 12 K. Spektra závisí na podmínkách přípravy nanodiamantových vrstev, ale nápadně se nemění s teplotou. Mechanismus luminiscence byl navržen. (cs)
