  • Photoluminescence spectra of Cr doped BaxSr1-xTiO3 (BST) thin films with the Ba content from x = 0 to 0.84 were investigated for the first time. The thin films with thickness between 200 - 700 nm were deposited on Pt surface of multi-layer Si/SiO2/TiO2/Pt substrate by the hollow cathode plasma jet system. Chromium doping of BST thin films was accompanied by the appearance of photoluminescence consisting of rather pronounced lines peaking at 12 K in the spectral region 1.57 – 1.60 eV in dependence on Ba content and a wide structured emission extending behind 1.48 eV. We attribute these lines to the zero-phonon transition 2E ---> 4A2 of octahedral coordinated Cr3+ ions in Ti sites and the structured emission to vibronic sidebands. The observed shift of zero-phonon line to higher energies with increasing x is in accordance with behavior of Cr3+ photoluminescence in the pure SrTiO3 and BaTiO3.

  • Poprvé byla zkoumána spektra fotoluminiscence tenkých vrstev BaxSr1-xTiO3 (BST) dopovaných Cr s obsahem Ba od x = 0 do 0.84. Tenké vrstvy s tloušťkou mezi 200 - 700 nm byly připraveny na Pt povrchu vícevrstvé podložky Si/SiO2/TiO2/Pt pomocí plazmové trysky s dutou katodou. Dopování tenkých vrstev BST chrómem doprovázelo objevení se fotoluminiscence tvořené poměrně zřetelnými liniemi s maximem při 12 K ve spektrální oblasti 1.57 – 1.60 eV v závislosti na obsahu Ba a širokou strukturovanou emisí rozprostírající se za 1.48 eV. Tyto linie jsme přisoudily nulfononovému přechodu 2E ---> 4A2 v oktaedricky koordinovaných Cr3+ iontech v Ti polohách a strukturovanou emisi satelitním vibračním pásům. Pozorovaný posun nulfononové linie k vyšším energiím s rostoucím x je v souladu s chováním fotoluminiscence Cr3+ iontů v čistém SrTiO3 a BaTiO3. (cs)
