Description
  • X-ray fluorescence analysis, both radionuclide and X-ray tube excited, has irreplaceable advantages for analysing composition of various materials, being relatively cheap, sensitive and non-destructive (i.e. without any need of sampling), and allowing direct measurements in-situ. Analyses of paintings, frescoes, ancient metal sculptures and objects of applied arts, old manuscripts or other artworks belonging to the cultural heritage of mankind provide the basis for better understanding of cultural history. The paper deals with the use of this method for investigation of the Czech cultural monuments. Some other applications for environmental and industrial measurements, which demonstrate the versatility of the method, are also briefly mentioned.

  • Rentgenfluorescenční analýza, jak s buzením radionuklidy, tak i rentgenkou, má nenahraditelné výhody pro analýzu složení různých materiálů, protože je poměrně levná, citlivá a nedestruktivní (tj. bez potřeby odebírat vzorky) a dovoluje přímá měření in-situ. Analýzy maleb, fresek, historických kovových soch a předmětů užitého umění, starých rukopisů a dalších uměleckých děl patřících ke kulturnímu odkazu lidstva dává základ pro lepší porozumění kulturní historii. Referát se zabývá použitím této metody pro výzkum českých kulturních památek. Stručněji jsou zmiňovány i některé další aplikace pro měření v průmyslu a životním prostředí. (cs)
