  • Development and realization of a traffic-energy simulator-trainer is being solved at Faculty of Transportation Sciences at Czech Technical University in Prague. It is a device enabling research rules and relations of energy demands of different land transportation vehicles in specific operational and technological conditions. The traction-energy simulator-trainer will be a partial equipment of a Laboratory of transport energetic and it developmental follows up with conclusions of different dissertation works. The traction-energy simulator-trainer is focused on creation of energy awareness connected with specific traffic-technological conditions. It allows especially attractive and visual completion of theoretical teaching the students of the Faculty of Transportation Sciences in lessons devoted to transport energetic. This simulator-trainer also will be used for training of professional drivers to create good habits while they are driving vehicles. These all habits should be directed to the rational use of energy for acting of traction work. The traction-energy simulator-trainer should contain different software extensions by species and type of source and driving systems of traction vehicles. One part of the project is also creating of necessary databases needed for simulations of specific types of both existing and projected traction vehicles. This concept should allow assessment of proposed solution of new traction vehicles in a view of energy demands in expected operational conditions.
