Description	The Load Factor of the SBB-long distance trains means a focus theme for the executive board. In this project were checked out corresponding steps towards improvement. These measures improve as well the global bottom line (efficiency). Suitable indicators for assessment of efficiency measures at the operation process of Swiss Federal Railway were proposed, under taking account of Load Factor; proposal of real target value of maximum achievable Load Factor, what under marginal conditions of SBB in case optimal train composition and potential tariff measures is feasible and assessment of proposals of SBB-Division Long Distance Trains considering these findings. (en) Die Auslastung der Fernverkehrszüge der SBB ist ein Fokusthema der Konzernleitung. Im Rahmen dieses Forschungsprojektes wurden entsprechende Massnahmen zu deren Verbesserung erarbeitet, welche nicht nur die Auslastung verbessern, sondern das wirtschaftliche Ergebnis insgesamt steigern sollen (Effizienz + Effektivität). Im Rahmen dieses Projektes wurden geeignete Kennzahlen vorgeschlagen, welche eine ganzheitliche Beurteilung von Effizienz und Effektivität von Massnahmen in der Produktion des Fernverkehrs SBB gestatten, unter besonderer Berücksichtigung der Auslastung (Load Factor); realistische Zielwerte der maximal erreichbaren Auslastung vorgeschlagen, welche unter den Gegebenheiten der SBB bei optimierter Zugsbildung und eventuell lenkenden Tarifmassnahmen möglich sind und die Vorschläge von SBB Fernverkehr im Hinblick auf diese Erkenntnisse beurteilt.
