Description
  • The planar design of the WDM transceivers are mostly realized on a Si/SiO2 dielectric materials, which often use the layer technology. The optical devices which combine multiplexing and demultiplexing function of the optical radiation (triplex filters) frequently used the optical distributing thin filters or directional filters. These integrated WDM transceivers have dimensions of several centimeters and compatible planar arrangement (set-up) of the optical and optoelectronic components. In the first part of this paper we report about the design planar MMI interference filter and directional coupler for wavelengths 1310nm,1490nm,1550nm, using epoxipolymer SU-8 2000 on the Si/SiO2 substrate. Second part will be devoted to optimizing the coupling parameters between MMI interference filter and a directional coupler to minimize insertion loss and crosstalk. The design were made with respect to the use of the planar optical wave selective system in a optical communications. The aim is to improve the optical parameters in addition to the reduction in size the planar optical wavelength selective system. Based on the designed parameters will then be made realization the planar optical wavelength selective system planar optical wavelength selective assembly usefull in optical networks as wavelength selective triplex filter.
