Description	Subject of this project was to create four lessons for the teaching of digital signal processing using data from nanoscale material characterization methods. The database, which contains random quan-tum signals and topographic pictures of atomic and molecular lattices, was taken by Atomic Force Micros-copy and Scanning Tunneling Microscopy. The aim is to make introductory courses of signal theory and sig-nal processing more attractive and to motivate stu-dents with tasks inspired by contemporary nanosci-ence. The database is extensive enough for modifica-tion of current tasks and for future development of new assignments.
