  • This article discusses general formulations of load flow problem and classification of variables and parameters for power system safety operation assessment. Safety assessment of a complex power system is outlined in the introduction only, the article's main goal is to study local safety in each node on the basis of a simplified Tevenine model. The model is constructed for each PQ node on load flow calculation basis. Safety factors, introduced in the article, are proportionate to the smallest distance of working point [R, Q, U] of a node from the set of critical points, which is determined on the basis of the Tevenine model. These factors are calculated for each PQ node. Overall network stability factor is calculated on the basis of all single node factors. There is also gradient of U[P,Q] function determined for each node. The gradient shows response of the network to further changes of active and reactive power. The algorithm is tested on two networks. (en)
