  • Paper describes and evaluates a method for determining complex permittivity, and presents results of dielectric measurements of some substances. Complex permittivity of a phantom of biological muscle tissue, of some industrial chemicals and dielectric is found out. A suitable way to make a dielectric measurement that is nondestructive and noninvasive is to use a reflection method on an open ended coaxial line. Two coaxial probes are under investigation. Vector measurement of the reflection coefficient on the interface between probes and measured samples is performed with the aid of network analyzer in frequency range from 300 kHz to 3 GHz. Numerical modeling (FDTD) is compared with real measurement and a comparison is presented. Results indicate that the reflection method is suitable for the determination of dielectric parameters: using the N-type coaxial probe is method applicable in frequency range app. from 30 MHz to 1 GHz and using SMA-type probe in range app. from 30 MHz to 3 GHz.

  • Článek popisuje a vyhodnocuje metodu měření komplexní permitivity a také uvádí výsledky měření různých látek - fantomu biologické tkáně, některých chemikálií a substrátu. Odrazná metoda na otevřeném konci koaxiálního vedení je nedestruktivní a neinvazivní metodou určování dielektrických parametrů. Dvě koaxiální sondy jsou podrobeny zkoumání. Vektorové měření činitele odrazu na rozhraní mezi sondou a měřeným vzorkem je vyhodnoceno pomocí analyzátoru obvodů v kmitočtovém pásmu od 300 kHz do 3 GHz. Numerické modelování (FDTD) je porovnáno s reálným měřením. Výsledky ukazují, že odrazná metoda je vhodná metoda pro dielektrická měření: použitím sondy s rozměry N konektoru je metoda použitelná v kmitočtovém pásmu od 30 MHz do 1 GHz a použitím sondy s rozměry SMA konektoru od 30 MHz do 3 GHz.
