Description
  • The design of the mixing vessels depends on the proposed operating conditions and processes for that are used for, namely the dissipation rate of the turbulent kinetic energy is important parameter for the scale-up modelling. The hydrodynamics and flow field inside an agitated vessel is examined using the several methods e.g. Laser Doppler Anemometry (LDA), Constant Temperature Anemometry (CTA), Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) where the results of the local velocities are obtained. The main aim of our research is to measure the local velocities with high data rate and from those results to obtain the changes of the dissipation rate distribution with e.g. operating conditions, geometry etc. but this required stable method of the dissipation rate estimation and improving the experimental data processing. Therefore we decided to examine the several evaluating methods.
