Description
  • Residual stresses, which are set in the fiber-reinforced composites during the laminate curing in a closed mould, lead to dimensional changes of composite after extraction from the mould and cooling down. One of these dimensional changes is called springback of the angle sections. This contribution deals with the volumetric fiber fraction gradient influence on the springback angle of the composite plates. This effect can be significant in radii of L or U shaped composites and it leads to the asymmetry of the laminate. Also analytical program in Java language with GUI has been created to predict the values of the springback angle and it has been given to the manufacturer.
