Description
  • Rapidly solidified melt spun ribbons from Al - 7%Cr alloy were prepared under various conditions of melt spinning. As-solidified ribbons mostly exhibited heterogeneity represented by structural gradient due to non-uniform freezing conditions at the substrate side and free surface. The material at the substrate side is typical by segregation-free structure. On the other hand, in the microstructure close to the free surface, many primarily crystallised, variously shaped formations were found. X-ray diffraction and electron diffraction revealed that rapidly solidified material contains supersaturated (Al) solid solution and various less or more stable intermetallics.

  • Rychle ztuhlé kovové pásky slitiny Al-7Cr byly připraveny při různých podmínkách melt-spinningu. Ve stavu po rychlém tuhnutí pásky vykazovaly heterogenity co se týče strukturního gradientu, vyvolaného nerovnoměrným tuhnutím na straně substrátu a na straně volného povrchu. Materiál na straně substrátu byl typický strukturou téměř bez segregací. Na druhé straně, v mikrostruktuře na straně volného povrchu byly nalezeny reůzné útvary o proměnlivém chemickém složení a tvaru. Rentgenová difrakce ukázala, že rychle ztuhlý materiál obsahuje přesycený tuhý roztok (Al) a různé více nebo méně stabilní intermetalidy. (cs)
