Cílem studie je určení vlivu nikotinu na mechanické vlastnosti krysích kostí. Práce je založena na spolupráci ČVUT v Praze, FS, LBČ a 1. LF UK Praha. (cs) Osteoporosis is the disease characterised by the bone mass decrease leading to increase risk of fracture. Osteoporotic bones from ovariectomized rats may simulate a model for the human postmenopausal osteoporosis. The aim of this part of study is the determination of the Nicotine effect on the bone mechanical properties in rats. This work is founded on the co-operation of Czech Technical University in Prague, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Laboratory of Biomechanics of Man and the First Faculty of Medicine, Charles University, Prague.
