Description
  • The article deals with different approaches to the respiratory system modelling. Two different models of the respiratory system have beed developed. The first model follows the exact anatomical lung structure and it is derived using the acoustic analogy. The second model solved the gas exchange by numerical solution of convection-diffusion equation. The models are compared, their limitations are evaluated and necessary improvements for a better correspondence with the clinical practice are discussed.
