Description	Demand for precision in machining has been increasing. Finishing processes related to hard surfaces are traditionally completed by grinding. These machining processes lead in many cases to unsuitable material changes in surface integrity. The main reason for this is the high cutting temperature in grinding. Cutting processes with cutting tools with a defined geometry are therefore increasingly substituting grinding. Demand for precision in machining has been increasing.
