  • Different metals, used in chemical, nuclear so as in the thermal plants (and so in other industry) are frequently exposed to corrosive ambient. To prevent such materials against chemical corrosion we need some methods of surface protection. All range of this particular requirements fulfils only specific type of layers, especially layers of Cr, Zr, Va, or their combinations. From Cr - based layers we can pick out Cr2O3, CrN carbonitrides Cr-N-C or chromium nitrides. Chemical methods of layer preparation are more and more often used for industrial applications so as PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) method. From chemical methods it is especially CVD (Chemical Vapour Deposition) method. Assisted CVD), temp. range ~ 350°C.
