  • Článek přináší náhled do možností rychlejších forem distribuce mapových obrazů po internetu, než umožňují konvenční standardy WMS a WMTS. Poskytuje srovnání dlaždicovaných služeb z pohledu možnosti častější aktualizace dat, generování dlaždic a spotřeby diskového prostoru. Představeny jsou rozšiřující se standardy postavené nad obrazovými daty s rychlou a úspornou wavelet (vlnkovou) kompresí a jejich využití při distribuci mapových obrazových dat internetem pomocí streamovaných webových služeb.

Poskytuje srovnání dlaždicovaných služeb z pohledu možnosti častější aktualizace dat, generování dlaždic a spotřeby diskového prostoru.   • The article presents an insight into the possibilities of faster forms of distribution of map images over the Internet than the conventional standards WMS and WMTS can provide. It brings a comparison of tiled map services in terms of possibility of more frequent data updates, the process of generating tiles, and disk space usage. Expanding standards built over the image data with a fast and efficient wavelet compression and their use in the distribution of map image data through the Internet using streaming web services, are presented.
