Description
  • During cold season in a sensible heat recovery heat exchanger water vapour condensation from exhausted air may occur. This influence is usually neglected in total heat transfer rate and heat recovery efficiency. The article describes influence of condensation of water vapour to the performance of flat-plate heat exchanger in a ventilation unit. For evaluation besides sensible, latent and overall efficiency exergy analysis is also used. Exergy based approach to heat exchanger determined that additional condensation heat transfer rate is used efficiently.
