Description
  • There are many methods external surface protection for porous building materials against the environment. Such protection substantially increases the practical durability of the protected materials and therefore reduces the maintenance cost at the same time. It seems that one of the perspective ways is the use of nanofiber textiles as the surface protection. This paper presents the production of nanofiber textiles based on PVA, and their application on the cement and lime paste, and gypsum as the surface treatment. Furthermore, the interaction between the nanofiber textiles and a wet surface of the building materials was investigated together with an influence of the textiles on water evaporation.
