Description
  • The paper summarizes current state-of-the-art in the area of exploitation of titanium dioxide nanoparticles (n-TiO2) for modification of surface properties of concrete structures. Utilization of n-TiO2 additised cement enables fabrication of photocatalytic, self-cleaning or biocide surfaces. Principles of these phenomena are explained and examples of first applications in real structures are presented. In the end, authors outline their plans for further research in this area.
