Description	The article deals with resuming problematics of torrent and gully control objects in the Czech Republic from a historical perspective and from a perspective of the present. The article is aimed on different types of the objects, their characteristics and conditions of using them. It involves specifics of using different matherials and building technologies. The goal of the article is bringing complex view on the branch of torrent and gully control and comparing historical methods amd technologies with contemporary conditions and requirements. (en) Příspěvek se zabývá stručným shrnutím problematiky hrazení bystřin a strží na území České republiky jak z hlediska historického, tak z pohledu současnosti. Článek se soustředí na různé typy objektů, které se v tomto oboru navrhují, na jejich charakteristiky a podmínky využití. Jsou zde zahrnuta specifika použití různých materiálů a technologií pro jejich výstavbu. Cílem je přinést komplexní pohled na práci oboru hrazení bystřin a strží, porovnání historických postupů a technologií s dnešními podmínkami a nároky. Příspěvek se zabývá stručným shrnutím problematiky hrazení bystřin a strží na území České republiky jak z hlediska historického, tak z pohledu současnosti. Článek se soustředí na různé typy objektů, které se v tomto oboru navrhují, na jejich charakteristiky a podmínky využití.
