Description
  • The work deals with the possibilities of using the method of averaging multiple repeated scans to make the 3D data acquired by laser scanning method more accurate, primarily to lower the random errors. For the purpose of this work and also for further use in practice has been designed and developed software that enables the processing of multiple repeated scans. Computational algorithm is based on the assumption of the same scan settings, and thus the measure of identical or near identical points. The software automatically searches for these points and then by averaging the spatial coordinates creates a new point cloud. The paper also describes extensive testing of this software with regard to the usage in various roles in practical geodesy.
