Description
  • This paper summarizes the research on development of scour hole at transition from fixed to loose channel boundary. The main attention in this research was paid to development of a new method of the spatial stabilization of the channel %22parametric morphological scour%22, using their shape modifications without application of any engineered methods of revetment, enabling successive natural channel changes. A theoretical model of the kinetic energy transition in these exposed parts of the channel was proposed. It was verified with a set of laboratory flume experiments and reviewed with field cases.
