  • Composite materials are often used in civil engineering. Combination of concrete and other materials is already traditional and there are still many questions to answer. The research of another composite material - reinforced timber - is at the beginning of its way. This paper present the situation of these composite material in the world, their advantages and disadvantages and also the result of the experimental tests and numerical and computational modeling.
