| - Mock-UP-CZ experiment představuje model svislého uložení kontejneru s vysoce radioaktivním odpadem, podle švédského konceptu KBS3-V. Model se skládá z bariéry z bentonitových prefabrikátů, práškové bentonitové výplně, topidla, zavodňovacího a monitorovacího systému umístěných ve válcové nádobě. Nádoba je navržena tak, aby odolala tlaku vyvozenému bobtnáním bentonitu. Úkolem multidisciplinárního dismantlingu je ověřit chování bentonitového materiálu a ukázat jeho případné změny způsobené dlouhodobým zatěžováním (teplem, bobtnacím tlakem, při saturaci bentonitu). Mělo by být též možné ohodnotit, jak jsou tyto změny zásadní pro chování bariéry jako celku. Předběžné výsledky z vyhodnocení vysušené objemové hmotnosti, vlhkosti, propustnosti a bobtnacího tlaku ukazují, že zvolený koncept a použitý materiál (směs českého bentonitu z lokality Rokle, písku a grafitu) dostatečně splňují požadavky na schopnost těsnění potenciálních trhlin a dalších preferenčních cest pro prostup vody bariérou. - The Mock-Up-CZ experiment simulates vertical placement of a container with high level radioactive waste according to the Swedish KBS-3V system. The model consists of a barrier of bentonite blocks, powder bentonite fill, heater, hydration and monitoring system. The whole experiment is enclosed in a cylindrical box, whose construction withstands high pressure due to bentonite swelling. The multidisciplinary dismantling should reveal possible material changes. Moreover, it should show whether these changes are important for the function of barrier or can be neglected. Preliminary results (on dry density, water content, permeability and swelling pressure) from Mock-Up-CZ experiment shows that the concept and the chosen material (mixture of Czech bentonite from Rokle locality, quartz sand and graphite) work well in terms of ability to seal the potential cracks and preference paths.
